Worlds!

The worlds are on this week so there have been plenty of people milling about. Many famous faces have been spotted in and around Morzine, on the slopes and in the clubs and pubs. It's great to see all these famous people from our sport on trails we ride. It really puts into perspective the speed at which they can go. I've not posted many photos for a while so I thought I'd put some up to show you some of the faces I've seen. I've also got a new camera so that has inspired me to shoot a bit more.

Here's what I saw today -

MAXXIS TYRES - We still have plenty of tyres left - 1 for 45€ or 2 for 80€. Come get some! (or phone us and we'll bring them to you)

This headless chap had an odd looking old suspension bike.

Sam Blenkinsopp and Matt Scholes both "burped" the air out of their rear tyres on their enduro loop today, so they popped by to pick up some tubes. Matt wasn't too keen on a cheesy photo but sam was happy to help.

South African Junior champ Tiaan Odendaal (l) and Alasdair Fey (r) were loving the tracks over in Chatel.

Pork ribs and rose for lunch courtesy of Julian the lifty.

Danny Hart popped along and had a little chat with Paul Thomas of Riders Retreat. Ruaridh Cunningham was also there but I didn't manage to get a shot of him.

There were some crazy off road unicyclists! I tried unicycling the other day. Bloody hell is it hard!

And would you believe they were English.

And someone did some proper damage to themselves that required an ambulance, car and 4x4.

On a slightly different note, the first thing I did today was replace a tube and tyre for a chap. He had a single-ply tyre on the rear with a tube that had 6 holes in it! Here's a top tip for you if you are coming out here - put some dual ply tyres on your rims! It'll save you a lot of punctures.

Apparently it's World Champs track walk tomorrow, then practice for the rest of the week. I might get over there to have a look, I might not. It will depend how busy it is this week. Check back soon to see what I might see.
